How would you improve eldercare in the US?

I think most of us who are over 40 think senior treatment and care in the US is less than excellent. We talk a lot about how bad things are but don't do much talking about how to improve things with concrete ideas and examples.

As I work on my book, "Behind the Old Face", I am interested in hearing from folks who have ideas on how to improve how we treat and care for seniors in America in oarticular, but definitely welcome input from other countries.

Please add your ideas, and suggestions in the comment boxes, and I will repost the answers I received in a couple weeks, and post a follow up question at that time.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  1. It's all about funding. Government should build a haven for our senior citizens. If they are still abled, the government can have projects that can use the skills and talents of our elderly (if they choose to do so).
